Considered charming colonial city, tourist would find Hanoi very typical feature of oriental city alive with its tree-lined boulevards and lakes and its blend of French, Chinese and Vietnamese architecture. Hanoi is the jewel of Asia. It’s a wonderful tour of around 3 hours!
At 6pm your tour guide will meet you at your hotel to start your Food Tasting Tour through the most interesting streets of the 36 streets of the Old Quarter of Hanoi. He will give you a brief introduction about the route of the tour and about the places you will be visiting before we set off to explore Hanoi’s buzzling Old Quarter in the early evening.
The main purpose of our Hanoi, Old Quarter Street Food Tour, is of course to let you taste a big variety of typical, traditional and local Old Quarter dishes and to give you as much as first hand, local information about these dishes and life in general in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
Some of the typical and special local street foods that can be offered are:
- Nom No Kho: Papaya salad with beef jerky
- Nem Chua: Fermented pork
- Banh Cuon : Steamed rice paper rolled with pork and mushroom
- Banh Mi: Vietnamese bread with mixing hams
- Pho Ga Tron: Dry chicken noodles – mixing chicken noodle.
- Bun Cha: Rice vermicelli with grilled pork and light fish sauce
